Do you need to replace most or all of your teeth? Traditional dental implants can be impractical and expensive for replacing so many teeth individually, but All-on-4® implants make things easier.
This technique uses just four implants to secure a whole arch of replacement teeth. Two of these implants are angled and can be supported by existing bones, so you won’t need a bone graft if your jaw is too small for standard implants.
Talk to our dentists at Glebe Dental to find out more about All-on-4® and decide whether it could be the best option for you.
If you’ve lost most or all of your teeth to tooth decay or gum disease, or they need to be extracted, All-on-4® can be more convenient than traditional dental implants for replacing many teeth at once. That’s because this method uses just four implants to secure a whole row of teeth, rather than a separate implant for every tooth.
This treatment may also be suitable if you’ve been told you’re not a candidate for standard dental implants, either because you have a small jaw or you have a health condition that makes you unsuitable for bone grafting. No bone grafts are needed for All-on-4®, as your new dentures or bridge can be supported by the implants at the front of your mouth where your jawbone is denser and stronger.
While traditional implant treatments can sometimes take six months or longer if bone grafting is required, we can usually fit your new set of non-removable replacement teeth in just three visits using the All-on-4® technique.
Am I suitable for All-on-4®?
When you make an appointment at our Sydney dental clinic, we’ll give you a full oral health assessment to determine whether you’re a good candidate for All-on-4® implants, and to check whether there are any problems that need to be treated first.
We’ll also make sure you understand exactly what the treatment involves, what the costs are and any risks or side-effects you should be aware of, so you can make a fully informed decision.
