Mini Dental Implants

Size matters

Just like regular dental implants, mini dental implants are also a titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth. Mini dental implants are used to secure dentures and feature a head shaped like a ball.

The retaining denture acts like a socket and contains a rubber O-ring. The O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture at a pre-determined level of force.

When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum. The implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural biting and chewing forces.

Mini dental implants are approximately the size toothpicks, and are placed about five millimetres apart in your jawbone during a minor surgical procedure. Your denture is then carefully adjusted to allow it to snap and lock on to the mini implants.

Dentures that are secured with mini dental implants can be removed and replaced easily after a little practice. This will also help you maintain a good oral hygiene routine.
