CHILDREN’S DENTISTRY
Taking care of your children’s oral health
What will happen during these first dental visits?
During these first dental visits we will want to check their facial development. It’s unlikely that anything will be amiss but quite often we can detect any problems very early on. This can be useful as sometimes early treatment can be less invasive and more successful than leaving these issues until a child is older. A typical example would be orthodontic problems that can sometimes be corrected while a child still has their milk teeth and before their adult teeth have finished erupting
Tooth care advice for new parents
When you bring your little one into visit us, we can advise you on the best way to clean their teeth, including which toothpaste to use and the best type of toothbrush. We know it can sometimes be a struggle to clean a small child’s teeth and we have a few tips and tricks on how to accomplish this task with minimal fuss! As soon as their teeth begin to contact each other, you’ll need to start flossing and we can show you the easiest way to do this. These visits are your opportunity to ask our friendly dental team any questions you may have.
Making dental visits fun and exciting
The team at Glebe Dental Group enjoy seeing children at the practice, getting them excited about their oral health and giving them the best start to grow up smiling. To help your child become familiar with the sights, sounds and smells of our practice, we encourage you to bring them with you to your appointments. This will make them more relaxed during their appointments.
Generally, your child’s appointment will enable our team to monitor the development of their teeth and gums and require very little intervention and time.
